George Couros starts this episode with a reflection about how he still uses a counting strategy that he learned from his kindergarten teacher called chisanbop, and how he is now passing this idea on to his daughter, Kallea! Couros then shares a personal story about his two dogs who are getting older in age and how he has enjoyed getting to take them for walks, a regular routine that came about because of a dreaded roadtrip. Couros also reflects on the worry he felt about driving a long distance with dogs and how this resulted in a closer connection between him and the dogs. These stories are all shared with the same message in mind - sometimes the things we dread the most can help the most.
